Disclaimer
• Use of the sauna is at your own risk. We ask that you contact your GP if you are in any doubt about safely using the sauna. If any of the points outlined below apply to you (please note, this is not a comprehensive list) we advise you to seek your GP’s advice:
-If you're pregnant
-You have asthma or breathing conditions
-High or low blood pressure
-If you have arterial disease
-If you have joint or muscle injury
-If you've had a heart attack or stroke
-If you're taking any medications
-If you have cardiovascular conditions, or problems
-If you have epilepsy
By booking a session, you're confirming that you, and everyone in your group, has considered this advice and those detailed on this page.
Sauna & Fire Pit Rules
• The sauna is wood-fired and is extremely hot. Do not touch it, other than as instructed to pour water onto the stones. A member of staff will regularly keep the heat going on it.
• The Fire Pit is extremely hot. Do not touch this and do not fill it with anything. A member of staff will regularly keep the heat going on it.
• The Fire Pit may become quite smoky, keep a safe distance from it to avoid getting smoke in your eyes.
• Children under the age of 16 are not permitted. Children 16 or older, have to be accompanied by an adult. with a ratio of two 16+ to one adult.
• The Sea View Sauna takes no responsibility for the damage or loss of customers’ property.
• If you are making this booking on behalf of a group, it is your responsibility to make all users aware of the terms and conditions outlined and to practice safe sauna use.
• We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who appears intoxicated or deemed a risk to health and safety.
• If you are expecting to be late for your booking, please let us know within 20 minutes of the booking start time. Beyond this the appointment will be considered a ‘no-show’ and the time may be given to someone else so the sauna is not sitting empty.
Sauna and fire pit etiquette and safe behaviour
• Please enter and exit the sauna with care.
• Please remove your shoes and clean your feet if they are sandy before entering. Feet washers will be available.
• Be aware that the stove reaches extremely high temperatures and should be treated with respect. Do not touch any part of it, and only pour the provided water onto the rocks as instructed by a member of staff.
• Alcohol and smoking are not allowed in the sauna.
• Please do not use essential oils in the sauna without permission.
• Anyone using cold water as a ‘cold plunge’ does so at their own risk. You should ensure that you are a capable swimmer and can handle being exposed to the cold temperatures, tides, rip currents and other dangers of a body of water.
• Jewellery (or any metal) should be removed before entering the sauna, to prevent burning.
Weather
• We reserve the right to cancel bookings at any time due to unsuitable weather conditions. We will contact you to rearrange your booking. Your safety is our first concern.
Accessibility
We regret that due to the location of our sauna, there are some areas where accessibility may need to be considered. Please be aware that access to the sauna is across a sandy beach (around 100 metres) and there are large steps on the walkway to the sauna. We also do not have electric lighting along the walkway so light in the sauna can be dim. If you would like to discuss this prior to your visit please get in touch.
Membership and Group bookings & “The Sea View Sauna Experience” Terms
• Members have unlimited access to the Sauna only and may only have access at the time when slots are available and must book in advance of arrival for available slots.
• When booking “The Sea View Sauna Experience” or a regular group booking, the group will have full access to the area for the time slot booked. A maximum of 6 people can be included in both group bookings and “The Sea View Experience” booking. When booking “The Sea View Experience” each group are entitled to one beverage of choice, one protein ball per person and one packet of marshmallows per group only. In the event where stock has run out, no monetary refund will be required, we will do our best to amend the situation.
